Vote for Yolan Dennis on Election Day

After reading the distorted propaganda in the article urging re-election of Debbie Phillips which appeared in the weekend paper of Oct. 25-26, I feel that someone must answer on behalf of us, the extreme right “barbarians”. There was no documentation offered to substantiate the writer’s unfound claims; therefore, it would be pointless to address them.

There was a letter in The Times recently from a gentleman who had been a supporter of Ms. Phillips in her former campaigns who now recognized that she has not represented the 94th District well. It was evident from his letter that his decision to support the election of Yolan Dennis as our 94th District representative was one that he had weighed carefully. After all, he had been a life-long Democrat and had even served as an Athens County Commissioner.

The shallow comments made in the article of Oct. 25-26 were ruthless and ignorant lies. Yolan Dennis believes in the founding of this great nation, and she believes in the rights of our citizens as enumerated by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. As the progressives in this country have sought to destroy the rights and freedoms that we have enjoyed for over 200 years, it has become more and more evident that courageous citizens must be willing to serve in various public positions to stop their selfish agenda. Yolan Dennis is willing to sacrifice her time to serve as our representative from the 94th District. As a nurse married to a doctor, she is acutely aware of the disastrous effect that Obamacare is having on the medical field. She had diligently researched other areas of concern including Common Core (which is poorly planned curriculum being pushed by the federal government), the right approach to meet our energy needs, destruction of jobs caused by over-regulation by the EPA and many other problems that we face.

If you care about our district, our state, our nation, and the future of our children and grandchildren, please vote for Yolan Dennis. She is competent, she cares, and she will represent us well.
