Republicans must make tax cuts a priority

With healthcare reform on standby, it’s time for Congress to reward hardworking American taxpayers and cut federal taxes. High taxes are the top issue facing small businesses, who spend valuable resources filling out tax forms instead of hiring new employees and raising wages.

President Trump came to power because he promised lower taxes, higher earnings, and more jobs. Last November, 63 million people voted for the president to make the American economy great again. But he can only do it if Congress cuts rates and simplifies the tax code for job creators. That way, they’ll have the time and money to hire more people and raise wages.

The time for talk is over. Republicans should do what they’ve always done best: Cut taxes. Get tax cuts on President Trump’s desk.
