Grange says thanks for support of Annual Pull

Little Muskingum Grange 2621 thanks the sponsors of their July Annual Pull. The grange, founded in 1867, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, fraternal organization that advocates for rural America and agriculture. The grange has a strong history in grassroots activism, family values and community service.

Little Muskingum Grange received the Community Service Enrichment Award at the annual meeting of the Frontier Local Economic Development Association. Community projects include maintenance of the historical German Lutheran Church at Sitka which is open each year for the Fall Foliage Tour and Christmas caroling. The grange gave money to the Salem Liberty teachers for school supplies, held clean-ups on Ohio 26, donated to the Little Muskingum Fire Department, cooked and served the Salem Liberty Alumni Banquet, helped serve food for Ewing’s Special Olympic members at 4-H Camp Hervida, mailed coupons to the military, donated label and box tops for education to a local school, collected pop tabs and supplies for the school for the deaf, collected empty medicine bottles for reuse in third world countries and worked with the Salem Liberty PTO to cook and serve food for their school carnival.
