Thank you for support of DAV Chapter

On behalf of Disabled American Veterans Pioneer City Chapter #52, I wish to thank the generous local business operators who supported our new Summer Raffle. The fundraiser was well-received in the community and a total success. The proceeds will be put to good use in our continued efforts in serving the needs of Washington County area veterans and their families.

Our sponsors included The Historic Lafayette Hotel, WMOA 1490 Radio, Metts Carpet Cleaning, DaVinci’s Italian Restaurant, Marietta WalMart, L Salon, Rivertown Grille and Putnam Chocolates.

All the recently elected officers and all the members are busy with outreach events, from the recent Memorial Day picnic and Independence Day parade, to the Belpre Homecoming and Waterford Community Fair. We also plan to be at the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival, the Barlow Fair and then Marietta Wendy’s and WalMart. We are always available to help veterans determine what assistance they may qualify to receive from local, state and federal resources, and we welcome new members to join our growing chapter.

We appreciate the generous and much needed support from our friends and neighbors all across Washington County. Many hands make light work. You help us fulfill the DAV mission, “We are dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.”
