Kiwanis says thanks for support of Pancake Days
The Marietta Kiwanis Club would like to thank the community for supporting the 66th Annual Pancake Days Feb. 7 and 8. Pancake Days is the club’s largest fundraiser and all the proceeds – over $15,000 go back into our community. The Club members served over 1,600 people in just 1 1/2 days.
Kiwanis is a service club whose purpose is to promote human and spiritual values, good citizenship, fellowship and altruistic service through voluntary action. The Marietta Kiwanis Club supports services in the community such as landscaping projects at the Middle School and High School, maintenance of Lookout Park, Terrific Kids at Harmar and Phillip’s Elementary, picnic shelter by the Marietta College Boathouse, Marietta Picnic Pavilion-Flanders Field donation, Northwest Territory Community Playground Sponsorship and sponsorship of the Marietta and Waterford High School Key Clubs, the Marietta Middle School Builder’s Club. The club also takes part in bell-ringing for the Salvation Army and placement of historical markers throughout Marietta.
Thank you to the following for either donations or in some way supporting the event: Broughton Foods, Marietta College Delta Tau Delta, McDonald’s, Crystal Spring Water, Warren’s IGA, Marietta Memorial Hospital, Ash-Hanson Flowers and Wedding Innovations, Barlow VFD, First Congregational Church, WMOA, Marietta Times, WTAP, Marty’s Print Shop, Dr. Brad Carman, Duckworth Farms, McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, Back2Back Chiropractic, Bridgeport Equipment, Wood Heating and AC, Vogue-Swift Cleaners, and Peoples News.
