Religious liberty

“Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged” [Ronald Reagan]. People wonder what has happened to our nation and why it is in such turmoil. The answer is simple. When God is removed from the schools, the government and public life, His blessings are forfeited. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” [Psalm 33:12]

I will be voting for President Trump for re-election, not only because of his pre-China Virus economic gains, building up the military, helping veterans get health care more quickly and safely, but also because he has worked to restore religious liberty. He has appointed two pro-life Supreme Court Justices (as well as an astounding 142 district court judges); made a new rule that prohibits Title X recipients from using federal tax funds for providing or promoting abortions; issued new rules to ensure pro-life businesses and religious organizations, such as Hobby Lobby and The Little Sisters of the Poor, can operate in accordance with their beliefs and not have to supply abortion pills or birth control to those working for them or buy insurance to cover such items.

The Supreme Court upheld that. Pres. Trump directed The Dept. of Education to update federal guidance for prayer and religious expression in public schools, so that now, for examples, a student is free to pray with his team before a game, or testify of the importance of God in her life in a valedictorian speech. Bible studies can again be held on campuses.

President Trump has supported churches, which during sheltering-in, were unfairly targeted for holding outdoor services in parking lots and fields while sitting in their cars with the windows up. His interest goes beyond our shores by directing $50 million a year in economic incentives to nations that promote religious freedom and sanctioning others that prevent that freedom. Recognizing other nations look to the U.S. as a beacon of freedom, President Trump and Secretary of State Pompeo’s Commission on Unalienable Rights holds that religious liberty should be of utmost importance in domestic and foreign policies.

Some say they will vote for Biden, because he is such a nice old man that will bring civility back to the White House. Don’t be fooled. When we have completely lost our freedoms, Biden’s facade of grace and charm will not matter.
