I'm only sad that I didn't get to go to the game. I am so proud of these girls. I have been watching this day coming since they were in elementary school, knowing this was a phenomenal group of girls. As for not playing Africentric, I think we should play more teams like them through the year. From what I have seen, they play a well-coached, well-executed clean brand of basketball that is a joy to watch for any sports lover, even if the outcome isn't what I wanted to see.

Centric's best player was "recruited" from Cincinnati....shocked that the Fort Frye folks aren't more vocal about this. These teams should not be meeting, and FF in all fairness should be state champ in their division.

Lady Cadets hold your heads very high. You have accommplished what very few high schools experience. This experience will remain not just with you athletes, but faculty, alumni, local communities, and surrounding counties. It is heartbreaking now, but the confidence, teamwork, and responsibility demonstrated by this team will last in each one of you forever. I am a graduate of Skyvue High School and remember the excitement and thrill of the tournament chase in '83, '84, and'85. It was a huge emotional rollercoaster ride that ended in heartbreak and saddness, but the memories and fondness of a small rural high school in the pursuit of a boys basketball state championship endures to this day. Your experience will be reminisced in generations to come. Thumbs up to the Lady Cadets.

For Fort Frye to play the best recruited team in Columbus this well is a feather in their cap. Congrats to all involved: players, coaches, and fans. Even us long distance ones!!
