The concept of the food pantry is wonderful. That said, I wish there was a way to weed out the people who "budget" for regular trips there as a way to stretch their foodstamp dollars. I have also heard these regular customers complain about the charity they receive. I guess it's better to feed them all rather than have one truly needy person go hungry. To those who abuse the community's charity, shame on you.

Does anyone who shows up at the Pantry get a food donation or do you have to show some proof of need. Does the pantry "means test"? Not sure how you weed out the needy vs. the just cheap.

Oh wise asknot, what are you proposing they do? Get in a time machine and bring back stories from the various parades and fairs to run them today? Or are they supposed to just guess what's going to happen and write that as news?

More precisely the 'Golden Rule' universally and w/o debate or question gives the message that all mankind needs only to follow for ... what comes closest to perfect harmony...

Amazing police work! Lets hope they are on a roll to solve other crimes and murders. So happy to see the pantry full of food to serve the people in need. Food stamps are just not enough sometimes. Such wonderful work in the name of Jesus Christ.
