The Obama administration will spend $700 million to reach the “16 percent” of Americans who are uninsured in an effort to tell them about Obamacare. The ad campaign will be similar to the ad campaigns used to sell pop and beer. I think that $700 million would be better spent on our veterans.

With so many programs going to aid people who aren't even legal citizens of this country, there should be enough money to honor the dead veterans and serve those who are living and trying to cope.

Well said Mr. Hess! Soldiers are returning from the Middle East with physical and emotional wounds from which they are receiving little to no relief. People returning from war, should not have to wait for over a year to start healing from PTSD and depression. Fund the living before recognizing the dead with a grave marker.

I imagine if we were able to ask those dead soldiers how to use the available money, they all would say help the living first.

History can be remembered and we can learn from it. A plaque or other marker so a person can feel proud,is a waste of money. Better to spend on our living soldiers so they know we are proud of them and their sacrifice, and they can heal. Priorities people.
