Mary Louise Dye, 91, of Marietta, passed away (Feb. 4, 2013) at Harmar Place.
Born on March 7, 1921, in Marietta, to Walter D. and Anna Wentzel Lauer. Mary was a 1940 graduate of Newport High School. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting knitting and gardening.
Mary is survived by three children, Mary Jean Bosworth (Bill), Loretta Sue Kern (Jim) and Russell E. Dye, Jr. (Michele), all of Marietta; eight grandchildren, Bill Bosworth (Laura), Hannah and Molly Kern, and John Dye (Ashley), Kelli Dye, Kristen Lang (Kyle), Jamie and Cassie Dye; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Peyton and Kennedy Bosworth, Chad and Blake Lang, and Aubrey Dye; one brother, Calvin Lauer of St. Marys; and two sisters-in-law, Libby and Ann Lauer.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Russell E. (Gene) Dye; her parents; and four brothers, Homer, Harold, Walter G. and Noble Lauer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Feb. 7) at 10:30 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
