Washington State Spring Visit Day
Current high school seniors and their parents are invited to Washington State Community College's Spring Visit Day at 1 p.m. Sunday. The event gives students the opportunity to explore all the academic programs and transfer opportunities WSCC has to offer. The event will also include a financial aid workshop.
Learn about dealing with concussions
SportsMed at Marietta Memorial Hospital will be holding a concussion management program with guest speaker Kelsey Logan, Md., MPH, FAAP, FACP. "Putting It All Together: Concussion Management" will be held Thursday with a dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. and presentation from 6 to 7:30 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 312 Franklin St., Marietta. Fort Frye board meeting changes
The location and time of the March regular meeting of the Fort Frye Local school district Board of Education has changed to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Beverly-Center Elementary, 510 Fifth St., Beverly.
Diabetes program at Belpre Senior Center
"Taking Control," a free diabetic educational program, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Belpre Senior Center, 1614 Washington Blvd. The guest speaker will be Doreen Bugai, a member of the national A1C Champions Program, which is a patient-led approach to diabetes education. She will share diabetes self-management and lifestyle strategies. Interested guests may pre-register by calling the senior center at 423-6022 or the MMH Diabetes Center at 568-0722.
Harmar crime watch group meets Apr. 1
The Harmar Hill Neighborhood Crime Watch will meet at 7 p.m. April 1 at Lookout Park. Jeff Lauer will present the program on the Washington County Emergency Management Agency. All area residents are invited to attend.
Free HIV, hepatitis testing offered
The Marietta City Health Department will offer free HIV and hepatitis C testing from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Those being tested must call 373-0611 for an appointment time. All testing is anonymous and confidential.
