Jerry Dwain Casto, 74, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday (March 26, 2013) at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1939 in Marietta to the late Oshel L. and Mabel Clasey Casto. Jerry was a graduate from Marietta High School in 1956, and on May 18, 1958 he married his loving wife, Eleanor Rudd. He was also the owner and operator of Casto Plumbing, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of the B.P.O.Elks #477, American Legion Post #64 and the Aladdin Shrine of Columbus, Ohio.
In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by two daughters, Sandra Tidd of Marietta, Brenda Whiting (Rick) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday (April 1, 2013) at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, with Pastor Jeff Baumer officiating. Friends may call on Sunday (March 31) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lynch Cemetery.
