The Washington County Interstate Exchange 4-H Club will hold a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Beverly Masonic Lodge. The cost is a donation. The club is raising funds to travel to Montana for a 4-H exchange in June.
Special Beverly Council meeting
The Village of Beverly Council will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the village office, 919 Mitchell Ave. to consider legislation regarding grants for village parks.
Relay for Life
A Relay For Life dance will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Marietta VFW on Pike Street. It will feature "Pickin' on Country Band." Admission is $3 per person, $5 per couple or $8 per family. There will also be cake walks, a 50/50 and raffles.
workshop at MC
A Rain Garden Construction Workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. Those participating should meet outside the Hermann Fine Arts Center on the campus of Marietta College. The workshop is free.

Muskingum Valley Chamber banquet
The Muskingum Valley Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its 11th annual banquet May 9 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church Social Hall in Beverly. Social time will be from 6 to 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30. There will be an awards presentation and entertainment. Tickets can be purchased at the door and reserved tables are available. Medication Take Back Day Saturday
Medication Take Back Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Any expired and/or unwanted medication can be dropped off anonymously. Labels do not have to be removed from bottles. Syringes, patches and liquids will also be accepted. Drop-off locations: Belpre Senior Center; Second and Putnam streets in Marietta; White Oak Pharmacy in Barlow; Fort Frye High School in Beverly; Buckeye Hills/Area Agency on Aging; Devola Medical Center parking lot; and Hardwood Components, Inc. in New Matamoras.
