Mail carriers’ drive filled food pantry shelves

May 16, 2013
The Marietta Times

As I walk through The Community Food Pantry, I can't help but notice shelves now stocked that were a week ago empty. I have no choice but to stop and thank the Marietta Post Office, the Letter Carriers, The National Association of Letter Carriers, The National Rural Letter Carriers Association, Marietta High School National Honor Society, Food Pantry volunteers, Harvest of Hope trucker Karen Kumpf and Congregational Church members and many volunteers who assisted the postal workers gathering a huge amount of food that is vital to us at The Community Food Pantry so we can help the many community members needing food assistance.
