Angella Sue Kahrig, 44, of Lower Salem, passed away on Saturday (July 6, 2013) at the home of her cousins, Kenny and Tammy Shafer. She was born in Marietta on Sept. 29, 1968, a daughter of Lewie Kahrig and Joyce Rea.
As a child, Angella represented the Washington County Easter Seals Association. She was baptized in the Methodist church. At a young age, she attended Friendship School (Ewing) and she enjoyed listening to country music.
Angella is survived by her parents; stepdad, Mark Rea of Lower Salem; stepbrothers, Tom (Marie Harris and her son, Aiden) Rea and Bill (Barb) Close and their children, Kylee and Branden Close; her Aunt Janet Hill and her children, Terry and Todd Hill; cousins, Bridget Shafer and Steven Sloter; grandmother Betty Rea; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Charles and Marie Miller and Alfred and Gertrude Kahrig; her Uncle Denny "Den" Hill; and special friend, Rosie Rea.
Funeral services will be held on Friday (July 12) at 1 p.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paw Paw Cemetery.
