Eunice E. Taylor, 90, of Hillsdale, died Friday (Nov. 1, 2013) at her home.
She was born July 9, 1923, in Lowell, Ohio, to Andrew and Mary (Lang) Schaad. She was married Jan. 7, 1946, to Lester Taylor, he preceded her in death in 1992.
Eunice was a former cook at the Manor Foundation in Jonesville where she was affectionately known as Mr's. T. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time at the Hillsdale Senior Center.
Survivors include eight children, Mary (Ernie) Saxton, Bernadette (Jim) Speith, Donald (Debbie) Taylor and Tim (Debbie) Taylor, all of Hillsdale, Carolyn (Jim) Welch of Jonesville, William (Terri) Taylor of Oklahoma, Tony (Tammie) Taylor of White Pigeon and Tom (Erin) Taylor of Union City; 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Strahler of Lowell, Ohio, and Robert (Garnet) Schaad of Marietta.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; daughter, Rose; sons Terry and Lester Jr.; grandson, Kevin; and brothers, Howard and Regis Schaad.
A mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday (Nov. 6, 2013) at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hillsdale with Fr. David Reamsnyder as celebrant. Interment was in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hillsdale Senior Center or to the family to be used for funeral expenses.
