Officers investigated an assault Monday that happened in the 400 block of Lord Street. Seana Haught, of Orchard Street, reported that she was assaulted by Adrienne Hall, 22, last known address 405 Lord St. A warrant has been requested for Hall for assault.
Randall S. Congo, 51, of 108 Colonial Square, Belpre, was arrested Monday at Marietta Memorial Hospital on three warrants for violating a protection order held by the Belpre Police Department.
Lillie Singer, of Ohio 555, reported losing a prescription form at Walmart Monday.
Brenda Sushka, of Bloomington, Ill., reported Tuesday that someone had made an unauthorized $40 transaction on her credit card at Speedway, 400 Muskingum Drive.
Officers investigated a report Tuesday of domestic violence at 704 Washington Square. Heather Warner, who is 16 weeks pregnant, advised that her former live-in boyfriend, Ian Slade Patterson, 20, of 104 Riley Drive, had choked her twice in her apartment. Warner also said that Patterson broke her cell phone, a television, a lamp, and ripped photos off the wall. Patterson left before officers' arrival. A warrant for criminal damaging and a felony count of domestic violence have been requested.
A deputy requested summonses on Saturday for Ronald S. Sciance, 48, of 6365 State Route 260, New Matamoras, and Heather R. Howell, 37, of 20549 State Route 26, Wingett Run, for disorderly conduct by fighting. A dispute between the two arose after Sciance accused Howell's adult daughter of stealing his EBT card. Each party blamed the other as being the aggressor in a minor scuffle that followed and witnesses were unable to provide consistent accounts of the incident.
A 31-year-old Little Hocking resident reported Saturday she received a number of text messages from an unknown male inquiring about women's and young women's undergarments she listed for sale in the Bulletin Board as part of a garage sale. Questioned by a deputy, the alleged suspect stated he asked about the clothing because he sometimes wears the garments himself. It was determined no crime occurred.
Christopher Brown, 53, of 370 Cisler Ridge Road, New Matamoras, received 19 stitches Saturday on his right leg at Wetzel County Hospital after he fell at his home. Brown was climbing the steps of his porch when a step broke and he fell to the ground, possibly landing on a rock. He was released after treatment.
A deputy arrested Jeremiah Jeffers, 30, of 705 Thomas Court, Belpre, for disorderly conduct on Saturday. Upset over his pending divorce, detoxing from a drug habit and stressed from living with his mother, Jeffers threatened to kill himself and grabbed a knife before fleeing his residence. A deputy located Jeffers at Rockland Cemetery and took him into custody for his safety without incident. Jeffers stated he said things in the heat of the moment that he should not have said.
Deborah Tarnecki, 45, of 47410 State Route 7, New Matamoras, reported Monday she was involved in an altercation at the Bada Bing that evening. Tarnecki, who lives above the bar, said an acquaintance with whom she was speaking shoved her against a wall. A deputy was unable to corroborate Tarnecki's statement with witnesses, with some stating that Tarnecki instigated the altercation.
