The Sequester is nothing more than small decrease in the rate of increase in federal spending OVER 10 YEARS. President Obama should be the one to choose where the $85 billion in cuts should come from THIS YEAR since THE SEQUESTER was HIS IDEA TO BEGIN WIT

The President needs to lead on this issue he created instead of campaigning against it.

I dont need fox news to tell me your types are idiots. I can figure that out on my own. Clam up and go find something productive to do like volunteer at a church or old folks home or help an old person or veteran mow their yard, whatever. You are a waste.

See if you can read this without LOL: One of the nation’s only producers of authentic cannons fears the sequestration will blow its business to smithereens. For 20 years, Steen Cannons, a maker of real cannons that shoot real cannonballs, has depended upon Uncle Sam as one of its most reliable customers thanks to the National Park Service's constant need of cannons to adorn the nation’s historic battlefields. "There's never enough cannons," says founder Marshall Steen, who sells about three out of the five cannons the company makes a month to the Park Service. "We always stay busy."While each national park's cannon budget is decided by the park itself, National Park Service spokesman, Jeffrey Olson says Steen has every reason to worry. "That would seem like a place that I would look to save money. If I didn't have to buy some cannons this year, I might not." Cannons or no Cannons?

I just read that if every USA wage earner's wages were taxed 100%, that wouldn't be enough to pay the INTEREST on our Nat debt... Sweet job of our gov. to get right on that!!

Kiplinger reports that 10% of top wage earners pay 71% of all income taxes being paid. The top 25% pay 87% of all income taxes paid.

The top 10 percent of taxpayers paid more than 70 percent of the total income tax revenue collected in 2010.

The information is accurate. Deal with the information , not the source.

The top 10 percent of taxpayers paid more than 70 percent of the total income tax revenue collected in 2010, according to research from the D.C.-based Tax Foundation. “That’s up from 55% in 1986,”

Munster, your hero is losing his popularity with the people after he failed the economy again. After 5 years, he has had his chance to straighten this mess out but he is too busy repaying those that voted for him. Like Trumpka and the Teamsters Union that you so much complain about. Why do you think Trumpka stood up at the Dem convention and praised the fools??? So they could get taxpayer money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I just get sick of you all blaming people that may have made some mistakes, for years, years, years, and years instead of expecting something great from your heros.

Mod. Tell me 1 thing Bush did not get up in front of everyone and tell us what he was gonna do?? We all said he was freakin out of his mind but he took the responsibility now didnt he. Mod, are you so gullible that you would defend someone while they were sharpening the knife to slowly plung it in your back?? I am not standing up for Repubs or the Dems. I think they are both twits but you and Munster think Jesus has returned already and everything they do is blissful.

Us guys?? I never said Bush was any better!! You assume that anyone against the Dems is diehard Republican and you could not be more wrong. You dont see me on here yapping about him being a great anything like you do the losers we have now. I just think you should compare apples to apples because some of the people you hail as being great, did absolutely nothing great for the country as a whole. At least when Bush was giving us the bone he told us about it and took responsibility!! He wasnt saying how congress was at fault and then take a trip to Hawaii and make himself unavailable. Then come back and talk about how great he is and how many movie star friends he has and what talk show he was on. That is not his job!! His job is getting everyone TOGETHER in this country and not dividing us like he does!!

Obama reinstated the tours because Michelle and the kids were getting CABIN FEVER because they were looking at having to cancel one of their trips to who knows where in Air Force 1. Yeah, he is really in there standing up for all of us COMMON lower class and middle class people.

on a more serious note...wait that was serious.....i found this tidbit of information regarding the Clinton budget surplus. "How Clinton managed to claim a surplus was that while the general operating budgets ran deficits but Clinton borrowed from numerous off budget funds to make the on budget fund a surplus.

For example, in 2000, Clinton claimed a $230B surplus, but Clinton borrowed $152.3B from Social Security $30.9B from Civil Service Retirement Fund $18.5B from Federal Supplementary Medical insurance Trust Fund $15.0B from Federal Hospital Insurance Trust Fund $9.0B from the Federal Unemployment Trust Fund $8.2B from Military Retirement Fund $3.8B from Transportation Trust Funds $1.8B from Employee Life Insurance & Retirement fund $7.0B from others

Total borrowed from off budget funds $246.5B, meaning that his $230B surplus is actually a $16.5B deficit."
