NCN...i never said that i think that being shot and killed while fleeing is justifiable. i hope you would agree that law enforcement has many advantages in the freedom to kill area. either way, i hope this clears up any issue you may have with my statement or intent.
'he can legally kill your ass.'
just for jumping from your car and running...I don't agree...one shouldn't run, I agree with that.. but some will and do but to be shot dead is just wrong...imo
NCN...you bring up an excellent point...which is the point i was making regarding compliance by individuals when ordered by law enforcement to STOP! it is not a pretty please situation. the policeman, sheriff. trooper has the right to use deadly force above and beyond the circumstances most civilians face. no, i did not intend to give the impression that they can kill on sight in every instance. why should a citizen run from law enforcement????? no runner...no shooter...no questionable death. if we as citizens live under the law then we are required to STOP as immediately and safely as possible depending on the actions preceding the confrontation. the judge is not going to be out there on the street running with the fleeing citizen to determine guilt or innocence. so why not join me in advocating compliance instead of running and let's both end the needless deaths from all sides.
duh, if he has a gun whole different ballgame...a lot of the shootings I've read about recently have been unarmed runners...
Baltimore: Tuesday, the Democratic primary will effectively decide the next mayor of crime city. It’s all but certain that the most powerful voting block in the city, black women, will elect one of their own—either State Senate Majority Leader Catherine Pugh and former Mayor Sheila Dixon, with decades of public service between them. Democrats.
Yet, if their public statements are any measure, Pugh and Nixon could go by “Status” and “Quo,” The moms of the kids lost to the city’s streets keep backing candidates who ensure that won’t change.
They can only blame themselves.
An armed person with bad intent is a bigger threat when fleeing into an unexpecting community
Huh? So a guy with a gun running from a cop into a grade school for instance isnt a threat to be neutralized?
I do not believe a person is a risk when he is running away...
my post was in reference to abs...
'he can legally kill your ass.'
cops do not have the legal right to shoot you because you are running away...If they were not in fear of their lives at the time of the shooting they are in the wrong...imo
"...like a concise understanding of the importance of accuracy and truth? " Now just where do you find something like that in all of your right-wing nut-job internet searches ?

"these things"...like a concise understanding of the importance of accuracy and truth?
Sorry dis conect , but we dont have your narrow focus on these things !Apparently we also dont have a total hissy fit over this Ralph of yours
Isn't that the general way of brainwashed conservatives with an agenda whose goals they want to force on everyone !
Well, Sports Fans - slinky and NasCarNut are hopeful that you are as inattentive as Ralph apparently is, as they keep trying to misdirect attention to the crux of the matter being discussed. That being Ralph's twisting of fact to support his point.
Isn't that the general way of Liberals with an agenda whose goals they want to obfuscate?
double punishment as well as reward for the taking of at least anothers right if the felony was murder.
"if I were put in a position where an offricer of the law was giving me directions"
OvO...what an excellent point. there are thousands of people that are confronted with that very decision each and every day here in the United States. the common thread in all confrontations between the citizen and the representative of the court is how the respondants act. in most instances, non-compliance with officer requests or actions that illicit a defense response from the officer usually predacates escalated actions. now, naturally there are instances of police abuse and it will occur, but i can say with all certainty, that when i have been stopped, it has been respect for the man with the gun. he can legally kill your ass. don't become a statistic. be smart and respect your fellow American who is just doing their job. it's just a ticket or some jail time...unless you are a big time felon...just besure to commit your felony in the state that will grant you voting rights. that's odd.
And yup , in a typical republinut way , anyone with a differing opinion is a moron or stupid or an idiot ! Yeah you know it all alright !(sarcasm) Believe it or not there are other people who live with us in this world and most arent nutjob extremist !
Well , Heres what I know , I know if I were put in a position where an offricer of the law was giving me directions I sure wouldnt try pulling out anything that looks like a weapon !
just a bb gun: a pellet gun looking like a real gun got that young boy killed in Cleveland.
Shopsteward - Ralph may truly be "an idiot", but he's possibly got morons that follow his anti-gun rants with fervor, maybe even some half as knowledgeable about - the 2nd Amendment, the historic perspective and ramification of gun confiscation and the purpose and mission of the NRA - that may listen to his tripe and be influenced by it.
Then those mental Lackeys go and vote also, possibly based upon blind, apathetic allegiance to what they've 'learned' from an cerebral derelict like Ralph. Therein lies the danger to our freedoms.
