WVa Wildlife Center resumes regular hours, admission rates

FRENCH CREEK, W.Va. (AP) — The West Virginia Wildlife Center has resumed its regular hours and admission rates, the state Division of Natural Resources said.
The center in French Creek is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Until Oct. 31, admission is $4 for adults 16 and older and $2 for children ages 6 to 15. Kids 5 and younger get in for free.
The looping trail around the facility has been changed to one-way, and visitors are required to follow social distancing guidelines. The gift shop and snack bar are open, but the picnic pavilion remains closed.
The center features native and introduced animals.
Mountain lions and other large cats may not be visible at all times due to U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines to limit contact between the public and nondomesticated cats at wildlife facilities, the agency said.
