Frontier High graduate receives inaugural scholarship

NEW MATAMORAS - Frontier High School graduate Cadence Cline was awarded the inaugural $1,000 Brenda Charlene Reed DeGori Memorial Scholarship on June 12. The scholarship check will be sent directly to West Virginia University at Parkersburg, where Cline is registered to begin a program in education this fall. Vote this week in final Readers’ Choice round

Staff Reports It’s that time again, this week is your chance to choose the winners of the annual Marietta Times Readers’ Choice Awards. In May, readers cast votes for 1,837 reader-nominated businesses and now we are down to the top five vote getters in each category. There are 964 businesses left to compete in 10 categories and 192 subcategories, according to Marietta Times Advertising Director Lisa Northcraft. Marietta College to host Juneteenth event
