Marietta College and Heidelberg split an Ohio Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader Friday at Pioneer Park. Marietta won the first game, 10-2, and the Student Princes took game two, 19-3. Marietta moves to 6-13 overall and 4-02 in the OAC. Heidelberg is 13-10 overall and 4-2 in the OAC. Austin Ziance (4-3) went the distance on the mound for Marietta in the first game. WEST LAFAYETTE — The Marietta College men's golf team tied for second place at the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Preview Thursday afternoon at the par-72 River Greens Golf Club. Ohio Northern carded a 5-under-par team score of 283 to win the event. Marietta and Otterbein tied for second with a score of 295. BASEBALL *Belpre’s AJ Copen struck out 10 batters over innings and went 3 for 4 at the plate with four runs scored and three runs driven in. *Casey Burkhammer fanned eight batters over four shutout innings in St. Marys’ 11-3 win over Ritchie County. Kyle Bullman was 2 for 4 with two RBIs while Shane Deweese added two hits and scored three runs. Grayson Dodd doubled, singled and drove in all three runs for the Rebels. TENNIS *Will Haller and Mills Stull picked up singles wins to help lead Marietta past Jackson, 3-2. Owen Mason and Alex Greenwood won their doubles match.
