Hank and Carol Schmedes are celebrating 50 years of marriage Sept. 5. They were married in their hometown of North Plainfield, New Jersey. A family trip to Disney World was planned but had to be postponed due to COVID-19. They have one son, Chris, daughter-in-law Megan, and three grandchildren, Masey, Grayson, and Holden. Hank is retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and Carol retired from Harts, Big Bear, and Giant Eagle.
