Roger and Cris Baker celebrate 50 years of marriage
The children of Roger and Cris (Lang) Baker of Waterford, Ohio, are proud to announce that their parents will be celebrating 50 years of marriage April 17. They were married at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Beverly, April 17, 1971, where they still attend.
Roger is retired from DuPont’s Washington Works Plant where he worked for 40 years and has since worked for Napa Auto Parts in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Cris is retired from nursing and the Wolf Creek School District where she worked over several decades in a bus driver, cook, secretary, and educational aide. The Bakers are part-owners of Riverbend Family Dining in Beverly. Both enjoy golfing, travel, church and community service, attending the sporting and school events of their grandchildren, and rooting for the Waterford Wildcats. The Bakers have four children: daughters Shellie Baker (Jerry King) of Tulelake, Calif., Lori Greuey (Jake) of Malta, Ohio, Amy Newton (Frank) of Cortland, Ohio, and Joe Baker (Jessie) of East Canton, Ohio.
They are grandparents of Jenna and Michael King, Wesley Jenkins and Faith Greuey, Hayden and Henry Newton, and Rachel and Max Baker.
The Bakers have plans to celebrate their Golden Anniversary with a family trip to the Great Smokey Mountains with their children and grandchildren in July.
