Mr. and Mrs. Richard Holley

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Holley will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary next week. They were married at the First Baptist Church of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. July 7, 1951. Their parents were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Holley and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Woodard.

The couple had two sons, Gary Lee, who was killed in the Marietta First Baptist Church explosion Oct. 10, 1971, and Glenn (Joan) Holley who livesin Gilbertsville, Pa. They have two daughters, Janine (Ben) Sommers of Houston, Texas, and Denise, who lives in Lancaster, Pa. They have two great-grand daughters, Lucy (5-years- old) and Zoe (2-years-old) Sommers.

Richard served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as an Aviation Electrician’s Mate from 1944 to 1946 at the U.S. Naval Air Station, Alameda, Calif.

The Holleys have been enjoying their retirement years traveling and with friends.
