John “Jack” and Janet (Welch) Lang of Waterford are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.

They were married June 18, 1958, by Father Charles Highland at St. John Catholic Church in Churchtown. An open house will be held by their children for family and friends June 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Beverly Legion Hall, Beverly.

Jack retired from Globe Metallurgical where he worked 31 years. Janet is a homemaker. The couple have nine children: Bridget Stephens and Melanie (Charley) Miller of Waterford; Angela (Dan) Cornelius of Utica; and Kelly (Lucinda), Darren (Cynthia), Damian (Rachelle), Mark (Harvest), Dean (Paula), John Jr. (Cierra) Lang all of Waterford.
