60th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Estadt Sr. of Marietta, Ohio celebrated 60 years of marriage on Sept. 21, 2023.

Carlos Estadt Sr., of Caldwell and Sharon "Sue" McKitrick of Marietta met when Sue's sister was dating Carlos's brother. One night, they went on a double date to a bar downtown and Carlos offered to drive Sue home a half an hour away. A little over a year later, they were married on Sept. 21, 1963 at St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception in Fulda, Ohio.

Together they were blessed with 3 children - Jennifer Estadt of Richwood, Ohio, Carlos Estadt Jr. of Marysville, Ohio, and Melissa Estadt (Thomas Perry) of Marion, Ohio, along with 7 grandchildren- Brandon Estadt, Mariha (Alex) Rhodes, Brittney Richards (Justin Spriggs), Dustin (Laura) Richards, Dezrae Murphy (Riley Wallace), Bree-Ann Richards (Ethan Beveridge), Sara Richards (Kaylee McGinnis) and soon-to-be 12 great grandchildren- Brennan Estadt, Ellison Spriggs, Liam Estadt, Landon Richards, Hunter Spriggs, Kyler Spriggs, Charlie Richards, River Rhodes, Jaxon Beveridge, Sawyer Wallace, Edson Richards, and Calliope Wallace. Mr. and Mrs. Estadt built a full life together. Carlos retired from Kardex Systems in Marrietta and Sue worked for Marietta Schools before she became a homemaker. They enjoyed attending NASCAR races, Pittsburgh Steelers games, camping with their family, spelunking (caving), traveling the U.S., making lifelong friends out of the new faces they met and being active members of their church congregation.
