Dave and Kim Koon of Marietta announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli Jo Koon of Marietta, to Lars Mahler of Dublin, son of Paul and Susan Mahler of Columbus.

The bride-to-be graduated from Marietta High School, received a bachelor of science in biology from Geneva College in 2004, and doctor of pharmacy from Ohio State University in 2008. She is a pharmacist at Walmart Pharmacy in Urbana, Ohio. She’s the granddaughter of Kenny and Fran Carver and Anna Koon and the late Richard Koon, all of Marietta.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2000 with a bachelor of arts in economics and from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014 with a master of science in computer science. He is the grandson of Clare Mahler and the late Robert Mahler of Columbus, and William Halverson and the late Marolyn Halverson. He is chief science officer at Legal Sifter Inc. in Columbus.

The open church wedding will be at 4:30 p.m. July 30, 2016 at Evergreen Bible Church in Williamstown with a private reception to follow.
