Megan Elizabeth Keegan and Seth James Broughton were united in marriage on November 1st, 2019 at Snow Canyon State Park in St. George, Utah.

The bride is the daughter of Anne and Joseph Keegan of Marietta and the granddaughter of the late Luada (Lu) and Joseph Wesel of Marietta and John and Norma Keegan of Penobscot, Maine. The bridegroom is the son of Nancy and George Broughton of Marietta and the grandson of the late Carl and Elizabeth Broughton of Marietta, Carolyn Reger and the late Jim Reger of Geneva, Ohio.

The outdoor ceremony was officiated by ordained minister Jo Reger, aunt of the bridegroom. The intimate, family-only ceremony was held just before sunset in Snow Canyon. In addition to traditional vows, the couple incorporated a hand-fasting ceremony, an ancient Celtic tradition symbolizing the binding of two individuals, before exchanging simple gold bands.

The bride wore an ivory tulle Theia Couture gown and her sister Jenny’s veil. The bride also wore jewelry from her late grandmother Lu, and slipped the same sixpence from Lu’s wedding day into her shoe. Her bouquet was tied with the bridegroom’s great-great grandmother’s wedding ring. The bridegroom wore a navy suit with a handkerchief from his late grandfather Jim.

The couple spent their honeymoon in the Spanish and French Pyrenees and currently reside in Philadelphia, Pa.
