¯During a traffic stop on Pike Street Sept. 15, the officer’s K9 indicated to the driver’s door. Located were drugs and paraphernalia. Kenneth S. McClellan, 28, of 5525 Hoover Ave., East Fultonham, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.

¯On Sept. 16, Dr. Steve Howe’s office reported at 401 Matthews St., Marietta, that a female patient had threatened to kill an ex-friend of the patient. The patient voluntarily went to Marietta Memorial Hospital for a mental evaluation.

¯A fight was reported in the 200 block of Hillcrest Drive, Marietta, on Sept. 16. After investigation of this complaint, Ashley Neader, 26, of 233 Hillcrest Drive, Apt. A, Marietta, and Angela Miller, 45, of 270 Walnut Drive, Whipple, were both issued minor misdemeanor citations for disorderly conduct/fighting.

¯On Sept. 17, an officer was dispatched to outside Lafayette Plaza in reference to a DOA (dead on arrival). Kevin Wagner, 52, of 836 Pike St., Marietta, was pronounced dead and the body was shipped to Montgomery County for cause of death.

¯An overdose was reported on Sept. 21 at the Lafayette Hotel parking lot on the river side. The Marietta Fire Department used narcan on the overdose victim. The case is still under investigation.

¯On Sept. 22, the Walmart on Pike Street, Marietta, reported Florizel Woodford, 65, of 11355 State Route 26, Marietta, with an open container of Mike’s Hard Lemonade at the tire center. It was apparent that he had mental health issues so adult protective services was contacted and advised of the situation.

¯Alisha M. Harris, of 274 Ridgewood Court, Marietta, reported missing money and cigarettes on Sept. 19.

¯On Sept. 19, the Walmart on Pike St., Marietta, reported a theft. Natasha Dunn, 27, of 705 Second St., New Matamoras, was caught stealing and was arrested along with Michael Wallace, 23, of 105 Leland Ave., Marietta, for trespassing.

¯Keith Snider, of 110 Splitrock Drive, Marietta, reported stolen chain saws on Sept. 20.

¯Lisa Robinson was reported to be dead on arrival at 907 Washington St., Marietta on Sept. 22. Robinson was taken to Montgomery County for an autopsy.

¯Big 4 Auto Sales at 714 Hart St., Marietta, reported the theft of a laptop on Friday.

¯Sandra Grady, of 209 Market St., Marietta, reported a burglary on Friday. The case remains under investigation, but Weston C. Hickman, 23, of 721 Old River Road, Little Hocking, was arrested for receiving stolen property. Hickman had an item that Grady listed as stolen.

¯Austin Harpster, 23, of 711 Cisler Lane, Marietta, was arrested for possessing marijuana on Friday. After resisting arrest, it was discovered that he also had a large amount of Xanax in his pocket and a digital scale and bags of cash were discovered at his residence.
