Reno Lions to throw Easter egg hunt

The Reno Lions Easter egg hunt will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Marietta Township Recreation Center.

Money management class April 16

Ohio State University Extension is offering a free money management class with instructor Amanda Bohlen. The class will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 16 at the Extension Office at 202 Davis Ave. in Marietta. This is a one-hour class offering assistance to make budgeting easy. Call 740-376-7431 to register to ensure enough seating and handouts available.

HarborSite Church plans Easter Service

HarborSite Baptist Church invites the community to its Easter Service Sunday. A pancake/sausage breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. The service will begin at 10 a.m. with the children's church performing "The Empty Tomb" along with special music. There will be an Easter message by Pastor Don Arbuckle. The church currently meets on Harmar Hill in the Veritas Academy building.

Celebration Monday

An Easter Renewal Celebration will be held Monday at the O'Neill Center, located at 333 Fourth St., Marietta. There will be a re-enactment of Cleopas on the Emmaus Road and special Easter snacks and beverages will be served. There will also be a door prize

Republican Women plan Lincoln Dinner

The Washington County Republican Party's Lincoln Dinner will be held April 9 at the Marietta Shrine Club. Doors open at 5 p.m. for the reception and silent auction, followed at 6 p.m. by dinner and a keynote address from filmmaker and human rights activist Jason Scott Jones. Candidates in 2018 Primary races will also speak briefly. Available by presale only, tickets are $40 per person through Monday, and can be purchased from any executive committee member, by calling 740-236-0052 or by emailing RightInside@suddenlink.net.
