Soup bean corn bread suppler planned

St. Mark's United Methodist Church will be serving a soup bean and cornbread dinner at the church, located at Third and Maple Street in Belpre. This is a Relay For Life fundraiser for the Belpre United Methodist Church Relay For Life Team, and it will be served on Sunday, April 8, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted.

Easter Egg Hunt at Newport church

The Newport United Methodist Church, along with the youth of the church, will be sponsoring an Easter event and egg hunt this year at the church, located on Green Street.

The Easter event will begin at 11 a.m. March 31. Children will get to hear the real meaning of Easter, sing songs, do an Easter craft to take home with them and hunt Easter eggs.

HarborSite Baptist Church invites the community to their Easter service on Sunday, April 1. A pancake/sausage breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. The service will begin at 10 a.m. with the children's church performing "The Empty Tomb," along with special music. Pastor Don Arbuckle will deliver the Easter message. The church currently meets on Harmar Hill in the Veritas Academy building.

Pioneer church to host rummage sale

Pioneer Presbyterian Church will hold its annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7, at the church, located at 873 Farson St., Belpre. Proceeds will go toward supporting the church mission and community outreach programs.

Wayside to host bake sale, rummage sale

Wayside United Methodist Church will be having a rummage sale and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 6, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the church. The church is located at 3001 Grand Central Ave. in Vienna, W.Va. Proceeds will benefit Women's Missions.

Barlow church to host Easter Egg hunt

An Easter egg hunt will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Barlow Presbyterian Church, located on Ohio 550 and Warrior Drive. The hunt is for all children up to and including 12 years old.

Barlow Presbyterian Church has plots available in their Community Garden, located at Ohio 550 and Warrior Drive. To secure a plot, contact Sonny Place at 740-516-2282 by March 31.

Spaghetti dinner a benefit for event

First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta, will be having a spaghetti dinner and silent auction to benefit the Neighborhood Jam. The dinner will include a large dish of spaghetti, bread, salad, drink and dessert. The event will be held on April 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the church weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
