Belpre municipal buildings closed
Belpre municipal buildings, including the city building and Senior Center, will be closed to the public starting today as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19.
“It just seemed like the thing to do right now until we get a grip on these cases,” Mayor Mike Lorentz said.
Limited access will be available today for flu shots provided by the Marietta-Belpre Health Department, he said.
People can also get water service turned on and off in the lobby. In both cases, masks are required, Lorentz said.
All other business should be conducted online or via phone, he said.
Water bills and traffic ticket payments can be placed in a receptacle by the front door or a drive-up box upon exiting the north side of the parking lot.
The non-emergency number for the Police Department is 740-423-7631, while the city building can be reached at 740-423-7592.
