Update: MCS Cohort 1 students will be in buildings Monday
Marietta City Schools Superintendent Will Hampton said Cohort 1 students will be in buildings Monday, while Cohort 2 students will attend classes remotely next week.
Additional cases confirmed with students and staff have necessitated the shift.

Marietta City Schools Superintendent Will Hampton has confirmed today the district will again separate students next week.
The announcement comes on the heals of increased confirmed cases of coronavirus.
In Washington County, the confirmed case count jumped from 672 Wednesday to 708 today.
According to zip code data released by the Ohio Department of health, 386 of those cases (cumulatively this year) have occurred within the Marietta area (45750).
