MHS student tests positive for coronavirus

Marietta High School parents were informed today that a case of coronavirus has been confirmed within the student population.

This is the first student, following four confirmed staff members, the city school district has announced this school year.

“School officials are working with public health professionals at the Marietta-Belpre Health Department with contact tracing,” read the statement from Superintendent Will Hampton.

According to state data, this is the 22nd child within Washington County to have a case of the virus.
