ABOVE: A bald eagle watches over the Muskingum River from the top of a large dead tree on the west bank of the river between Devol’s Dam and Lowell Saturday. According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources there were just four nesting pairs of the birds in Ohio in 1979. Today there are more than 700. The birds lay their eggs in February and March.
