Agents of the Major Crimes Task Force and members of the Washington County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team prepared to execute a search warrant Tuesday at the residence of Anthony Curry and Clarissa Dougherty, 408 Marion St., Marietta.
Surveillance revealed a vehicle registered to Dougherty leaving from the home. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as Anthony Curry.
Curry was ordered out of the vehicle and detained. Adult Parole Authority officers advised that they had a warrant for Curry and a holder was placed on Curry.
Agents and SRT members executed the search warrant at the Marion Street residence, locating 3.97 grams of methamphetamine. This residence is within 1,000 feet of St. Mary Catholic School.
Anthony James Curry, 32, of 408 Marion St., Marietta, was charged with trafficking in drugs, a second-degree felony, and probation violation.
Clarissa Moira Dougherty, 27, of 408 Marion St., Marietta, was charged with trafficking in drugs, a second-degree felony.
Curry and Dougherty were transported to the Washington County Jail where they remained pending an appearance in Marietta Municipal Court today.
