¯ Deputies responded Saturday to 584 Goddard Road, Cutler, to information received that Mason Nelson was at the residence, and there were five active felony warrants for his arrest. Deputies observed a male subject with blonde hair at the back door of the residence who advised his name was Joe.
The man went back into the residence, shut the door and fled out a window into the woods. A brief foot pursuit ensued until visual contact was lost. It was determined that the man was Nelson. On Sunday, deputies went back to 584 Goddard Road in an attempt to locate Mason Nelson again. While approaching the residence, a man with blonde hair, matching the description of Mason Nelson, was walking from a red truck into the residence.
Deputies made contact with Joey Reed and Jeremy Cremeans. Reed and Cremeans were advised that deputies were looking for Mason Nelson, due to him having felony warrants. Subjects stated that he was not in the residence. Deputies advised they believed Nelson was in the residence, that he was living there.
Deputies then entered the residence and located Nelson’s girlfriend, Taylor Puckett. Puckett told deputies to leave, that they didn’t have a warrant to be in the residence.
All three subjects were at the residence the previous evening and were advised reference charges for harboring Nelson. Deputies were advised that it was believed that Nelson was in a bedroom, because there was “someone” in there.
