Daughters of War of 1812 to honor Gard
The Daughters of the War of 1812 plan to honor Ataline Dunsmoor Gard (1812-1895) with a grave marking on Wednesday, July 6.
Gard is known as an original Daughter of the War of 1812, as her father was Captain of Cavalry Phineas Dunsmoor of New Hampshire.
The marking will take place at Gard Cemetery, SR 676, Stockport, OH, at 11 a.m., rain or shine. All are welcome, particularly descendants of Mrs. Gard or Captain Dunsmoor.
