¯ An officer investigated a theft by deception complaint May 24. The victim was contacted and scammed out of $3,000 over the phone by an unknown individual claiming to be a member of law enforcement.
¯ An officer recovered a fake $100 May 24 which had been recovered at the Beer Barn, 130 N. Third St. The bill had been given to them as an attempted form of payment. When told the bill was not real, the suspect apologized and provided proper payment.
¯ Units conducted a follow up May 25 on a trespassing complaint on May 24. Amy Whittekind and Shawn Whittekind were located on land owned by Arbors of Marietta after having been given a trespass warning. Numerous needles were located, as well as trash on the property. Shawn Whittekind was cited for littering, criminal trespass and possession of drug abuse instruments. Amy Whittekind was cited for littering and criminal trespass.
¯ A patrolman responded May 25 to Walmart in reference to a theft that had occurred on May 11. After the investigation, it was learned the suspect stole $131.96 worth of clothing merchandise. The patrolman will request a summons be issued to the suspect for theft and criminal trespass.

¯ An officer was dispatched May 25 to a Vine Street residence in reference to a juvenile falling out of a second story window. Upon arrival, the child was given medical attention and was transported to the hospital. After speaking with the parent of the child and as assessment of the home, child services was called. As a result, the mother of the child will be summoned for endangering children.
¯ Units responded Thursday to Marietta Memorial Hospital in reference to Kelly Jane Farnsworth refusing to leave the property. After the investigation, Farnsworth was charged with criminal trespass, obstructing official business, disorderly conduct cease and desist, and littering.
¯ A patrolman was dispatched Friday to the Marietta Police Department in reference to a theft report. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who advised that an antique chess set and two bikes were taken from her home. The case remains under further investigation.
¯ An officer responded Friday to Walmart in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival and after the investigation, it was determined that Halley Cheyann Seabolt failed to pay for multiple items ($201.99) and passed the last point of sale. Seabolt was arrested for theft and released on a personal recognizance bond.
¯ A patrolman investigated the report Saturday of a juvenile running away from the juvenile center. The juvenile was later found and returned to the center.
¯ Officers responded Sunday to a Front Street address in reference to domestic violence. John Wayne Bartlett was arrested for domestic violence and was transported to the Washington County Jail.
¯ An officer investigated an intoxicated person complaint Sunday. The officer arrested Nicholas Brooks II for disorderly conduct intoxication. He was provided a minor misdemeanor citation and received a personal recognizance bond.
