The Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Sunday at approximately 1:09 p.m.
The crash occurred on Ohio 555 near milepost 13 in Union Township.
The crash involved a 2008 Harley Davidson Fatboy, operated by David A. Quillin, 63, of Newcomerstown.
The investigation revealed that Quillin was traveling southbound on Ohio 555, when he lost control, laying the motorcycle on its side.
He then went over an embankment. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Responding agencies include the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Chesterhill Volunteer Fire Department and Brock's Towing.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. Quillin was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
