The board of governors of West Virginia University at Parkersburg this afternoon named interim President Torie Jackson as the next president of the school.
Jackson was one of two final candidates for the position, the other being Cathy Monteroso, interim president of West Liberty University in the Northern Panhandle. They were selected from seven finalists.
Jackson became interim president of the college after Chris Gilmer left in July 2022 to become president of Potomac State College.
