Ohio Genealogical Society holding workshop

The Morgan County Chapter of The Ohio Genealogical Society is excited to sponsor Genealogical & DNA Organization, an all day workshop featuring Kelli Bergheimer.

Kelli is a writer, teacher, editor and international genealogical speaker.

She holds a bachelor's in biology, a master's in education: curriculum and instruction, and a master's in business management. Kelli is the director for curriculum and assessments for Blue Kayak, a K-12 textbook company. Kelli runs two small businesses - Ge0-Centric Learning and Mess on the Desk, a genealogical organization company with an accompanying YouTube channel and online store.

Kelli is the DNA Interest Group facilitator for Genetics, Genealogy, and You.

Kelli is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, International Society of Genetic Genealogists, and the Genealogical Speaker's Guild. She also works as a DNA report editor for Legacy Tree Genealogists and a contributor for Your DNA Guide.

Kelli is an experienced national genealogical speaker, speaking often at RootsTech, Ohio Genealogical Society Conference, National Genealogical Society Conference, New England Regional Genealogical Conference and approximately 40 other presentations per year at local societies.

Her specialties are DNA and genealogical organization.

The Genealogical & DNA Organization Workshop will be held Saturday, June 17, at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 128 S Seventh St. in Zanesville, Ohio.

Topics include How to Clear the Mess on Your Desk - (Part 1: Papers, Photos, Documents); How to Clear the Mess on Your Desk - (Part 2: Digital Organization), Using tools to Organize and Analyze Your Autosomal DNA Matches, and Organize Your DNA Matches with Sorting, Filtering, and Clustering Tools.

The fee, which includes lunch, is $40. Registration deadline is June 10.
