Report from the Churchtown Busy Bunch May meeting
The Churchtown Busy Bunch met May 7 at the St. John’s senior center. The meeting was called to order by vice president, Caleb Schaad. The American pledge was led by Declan Schaad, and the 4-H pledge was led by Landon Nibert. Secretary Maggie Fulton read the roll call and minutes for the last meeting. The treasurers report was presented by Joel Schaad. Kayla Schwendeman gave the health report, titled “Heat Stroke and Heat Exhaustion.”
Kaydence Roush gave the safety report titled “Safety Tips for Children.”
Community announcements were given, and members were reminded about the hog tags and pictures. Old business discussed was the donation of a garden cart for the 4-H Endowment dinner, which was auctioned off.
New business discussed at the meeting was a community service project and the proper way for members to prepare demonstrations for the club. Recreation for the meeting was a fun game of dodgeball with questions. Member Kaydence Roush gave the first demonstration titled “Take a Break for Breakfast.”
The next meeting will be held at 5:30 June 11 at the pavilion behind the St. John’s school.
