Sexual imposition, child pornography, drug cases brought before grand jury Tuesday
Importuning, possessing and distributing child pornography material, gross sexual imposition, arson and drug sales were among the charges set by a Washington County grand jury Tuesday.
¯ Mason Ryan Hebert, 21, 10 Browns Road Apt. 3C, Marietta, nine counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired persons, two counts of importuning, six counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, possessing criminal tools and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
According to the indictment, Herbert allegedly solicited a minor younger than 13 and engaged in sexual activity whether or not he knew their age between the dates of Jan. 1 through April 23. Between the dates of April 5 and April 23, Herbert allegedly created, recorded, photographed, filmed, developed, reproduced or publishes material depicting a minor engaging in sexual activity, the indictment said. A video titled “my eyes only” was found on Snapchat, the indictment said, and he also allegedly solicited, purchased, exchanged or possessed the material. A photo revealing child nudity was found and an iPhone 12 and sex toys were deemed the instruments for the alleged crimes, according to the indictment.
¯ Jeremy Scott Thompson, 41, 122 Pineview Drive, Marietta, two counts of gross sexual imposition and sexual imposition. According to the indictment, Thompson forcibly or threateningly had sex, allegedly, with someone younger than 13 years old between the dates of Oct. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2020. He also allegedly had sex with a victim who was between the ages of 13 and 16 between the dates of Jan. 1 and March 22.
¯ David Anthony Allen Williams, 35, 266 Hilliard Road, Elyria, failure to comply with an order or signal of police officer, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, two counts of identity fraud, operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, illegal use of or possession of drugs paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, violation of speed limits and violation of seatbelt laws.
¯ Austin Saxon Papa, 28, 6165 Albert Ave. Apt. 101, North Ridgeville was indicted on an arson charge after he allegedly set fire to a trailer on the 100 block of Front Street in Marietta on April 19, according to the indictment.
¯ Ronald W. Schubert, 41, 2318 Spring St., Pittsburgh, possession of a fentanyl-related compound.
¯ Rodney Duane Shriver, 32, 3340 Downing Hill Road, Malta, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of a fenantyl-related compound.
¯ Aaron Casey Brooks, 31, 1776 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, two counts of having weapons under disability, aggravated possession of drugs and escape.
¯ Brittieny Jean Barcus, 35, Marietta, domestic violence.
¯ Joseph Lee Greathouse, 36, Lowell, domestic violence.
¯ Edward James McAuley, 57, Marietta, intimidation and two counts of domestic violence.
¯ Eric Christopher Anderson, 34, 23 Cherry St., Vincent, forgery, theft.
¯ Dusty L. Ferguson, 35, 736 Greene St. Apt. 18, Marietta, failure to appear.
¯ Ryan T. Starkey, 28, Ross Correctional Institution, burglary.
¯ Austin Anthony Edward Evans, 28, 1116 Gayle Ave., Streetsboro, two counts of having weapons under disability and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.
¯ Tyler Michael Grubb, 36, 55 Belavista Drive, Marietta, assault, resisting arrest.
