Hunger Solutions Mid-Ohio Valley has announced a donation of $5,000 to The Gospel Mission Food Pantry.
This donation will assist with The Gospel Mission Food Pantry's goal of providing food and clothing to those in need.
The Gospel Mission Food Pantry's purpose is to feed all. They are a non-profit organization and run solely on donations.
They are located in Marietta, Ohio, but they are not limited to the people that live in the Marietta area. They aim to help any person that needs assistance, no matter how what they need or how many times they need to come in.
Candy Waite, Director of The Gospel Mission Food Pantry, said "Oh my goodness, to have such a donation, this means a lot. It gives us encouragement that we can go buy things that we need." Candy went on to explain how the mission was really struggling to make ends meet for those who they were helping, so this donation helped tremendously.
Telah Taylor, Secretary of Hunger Solutions Mid-Ohio Valley, said "we are thrilled with the support and the opportunities that The Gospel Mission Food Pantry provides to those in need. They are a wonderful resource for our community."
As the founding partners of Hunger Solutions Mid-Ohio Valley, Peoples Bank, Memorial Health System, Marietta College and Brickler and Eckler have partnered to bring resources and support to our community to lessen and end hunger in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
