≤ Aaron M. Huck, 65, of 21240 Ohio 60, Beverly, driving a 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo, was eastbound on County Road 4 in Muskingum Township May 30 when he failed to negotiate a curve, went left of center, then went off the roadway on the left side and hit a utility pole and a guardrail end.
The vehicle came to rest after it went over an embankment. Huck had possible injuries and was taken by Oak Grove EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
≤ Verner E. Fortney, 68, of 4350 Ohio 530, Lowell, driving a 2001 Honda Accord, was northbound on Ohio 60 in Adams Township May 27 when he struck the back of a 2017 Chevy Tahoe SUV that was legally parked along the roadway and owned by Eric Allen Hoon of 324 Indian Run Road, Marietta. Fortney had possible minor injuries and was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital by Lowell-Adams Volunteer Fire Department. He was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance.
≤ Kaitlin M. Howell, 25, of 1308 Williamson Ave., New Matamoras, driving a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta owned by Jeremy Howell, same address, was eastbound on County Road 406 in Ludlow Township May 27 when she went off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and a tree, then overturned. She had possible minor injuries and was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital by New Matamoras EMS. The OSHP report noted that alcohol use was suspected. Howell was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
≤ Joyce Dale Castin, no age listed, 110 ¢ Grant St., Marietta, driving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, was southbound on Ohio 7 in Marietta Township May 26 when she ran a red light and struck a 2012 Toyota Camry pickup driven by Lisa Ellen Flinn, no age listed, 1304 15th St., Vienna, who was entering Ohio 7 from I-77. Castin was charged with ignoring a red light signal.
≤ Barbara S. Grizer, 59, of 1530 Nichols Road, Whipple, was northbound on Ohio 7 in Warren Township May 26, driving a 2014 Toyota Tacoma pickup owned by William C. Grizer, same address, when she struck a 1998 Ford-150 pickup driven by Delmer Ellis Bolen, 45, of 27335 Ohio 7 Lot 42, Marietta. Bolen had entered Ohio 7 from Township Road 591 and failed to yield the right of way to Grizer. Bolen had possible minor injuries and was taken by Warren EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital. Grizer had possible serious injuries and was taken by Oak Grove EMS to Marietta Memorial. Bolen was charged with failure to yield the right of way at an intersecting roadway.
≤ A 2021 Nissan Kicks, owned by EAN Holdings LLC of Tulsa, Okla., and driven by Charles W. Kidd, 66, of 6649 Anderson Road, Waterford, was eastbound on Ohio 676 in Waterford Township May 25 when it went off the right side of the road and struck a ditch. The OSHP report noted that the driver was distracted by something inside the vehicle other than a cell phone. Kidd was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
≤ A 2014 Chevy Silverado pickup truck with trailer, owned by Rhodes Lawncare Services LLC of 340 Town Hall Lane, Belpre, and driven by Chance Weinl, 19, of 1909 Neal St., Parkersburg, was northbound on Ohio 339 in Belpre Township on May 16 when Weinl failed to yield the right of way while trying to turn into a private drive and was struck by a 2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup driven southbound on Ohio 339 by Harold Bolen, 200 Oak Drive, Little Hocking. Bolen and a passenger in his vehicle, Sarah W. Bolen, both had possible serious injuries and were taken to Camden Clark Hospital by Little Hocking EMS.
Weinl was charged with failure to yield the right of way when turning left.
