The 4-H Backyard Gang met July 5 at the Stanleyville Community Building. The meeting was convened by President Brady Barth.
The Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge were led by Emily Forshey. Alyssa Biehl reminded members of fireworks safety.
The health tip for the evening, brushing your teeth twice every day, was given by Jackson Biehl. Secretary Alayna Biehl gave her report and no old business was discussed.
New Business included: sign-up sheets for tractor pull concessions; club swim party at the Marietta Aquatic Center on July 12; and a fair booth meeting to be held after the meeting ended.
Announcements were: Junior Fair Royalty applications are due Monday; July 13th Cloverbud Share Fair will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday; July 15 feeder calf and dairy goat tag will be held at Barlow Fairgrounds; July 19 duck pickup will be at Heritage Cooperative.
Presentations were given by Kaitlyn Forshey (Archery), Alex Barth (Market Lambs), Evan Huffman (Market Hogs), Jackson Biehl (Dairy Feeders), Emily Forshey (Dog Grooming), Bailey (Market lambs), Jonathan Schmitt (Small Engines), and Hailey Roe (Market Hogs).
The meeting was adjourned by President Alex Barth and the next meeting will be held 6 p.m. Aug. 2 in the Stanleyville Community Building.
