Meeting Notices
¯ There will be a Buildings and Grounds Committee meeting at 2 p.m. today at the Beverly Center Elementary School, 510 Fifth St., Beverly.
¯ The Buckeye Hills Regional Council Executive Committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday at at the Buckeye Hills Regional Council office, 1400 Pike St., Marietta. ¯ The OneOhio Region 12 Committee will meet on at 10 a.m. Aug. 11 at the Noble County Health Department located at 44069 Marietta Rd Caldwell, Ohio. The purpose of this meeting is to advance the process of developing scoring criteria for Region 12. The OneOhio Region 12 President will also give a presentation on both effective and absent resources in the battle against opioid addiction. ¯ The Marietta City School District Board of Education will hold its July board meeting at 6 p.m. today. It will be held at 111 Academy Drive.
Steak Fry
¯ Beverly Post 389 of The American Legion is sponsoring a public steak fry from 5-8 p.m. Saturday located at 114 Main Street Beverly.
Community Meal
¯ St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will hold its monthly Community Meal from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. The meal is dine-in or take-out. For take-out meals, call the church office at 740-373-5132 no later than noon on Tuesday. Give name and the number of meals requested. A limit may be imposed. Used Book Sale

Fire Department Social
¯ The Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual social Saturday starting at 4 p.m. Menu includes: BBQ chicken dinners, hot dogs, pizza, pies and cakes, soft drinks and ice cream. There will be inflatables and barrel rides for the kids and for the adults – BINGO, gun raffles, country store and silent auction items.
Goats Grateful Gang will hold a benefit spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 5 at the St. Marys Marina. The menu will be spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, homemade hot rolls and dessert.
Proceeds will benefit John Giboney who was involved in a car accident earlier this year. More information is available on the group’s Facebook page.
