¯ The Sustainable Ohio Public Energy Council (SOPEC) will be holding a General Assembly Meeting at 5 p.m. tomorrow at The Arcade, 31 South Main St., Dayton, third floor. ¯ A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Kent State University Tuscarawas, 330 University Drive NE, New Philadelphia.
¯ The Board of Warren Township Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting Monday at 6 p.m. at the Township Administration Office, 95 Coffman Road, Marietta.
Events
¯ A free community pool party will be held 6 to 8 p.m. today at Belpre City Pool. The event will include a farmers market for youth, games and prizes. The party is hosted by Belpre Heights Church, The Right Path and Wendy's. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
¯ Vacation Bible School will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today to July 21. (Call 740-373-1512 for more information.) For children who have already attended kindergarten through fifth grade. Snacks will be provided.
¯ The annual Beverly-Waterford Homecoming will be held Thursday through Saturday. Gates open at 6 p.m. each night. The parade is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, with entertainment, carnival rides, food, games and raffles each night. Garden tractor pull Friday and King of the Asphalt pull is Saturday.

¯ Reno Volunteer Fire Department's Ice Cream Social will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at the Marietta Township Recreation Center at 260 Sandhill Road. Food, games, raffle, huge country store, music and much more. Bring lawn chairs. Pie and cake donations may be dropped off at the school on July 21-22.
¯ The Parkersburg Coin Club will hold a Coin Show from 10 a.m. to 3p.m. Saturday at the Lions Club in Boaz, 315 Valley Manor Lane off West Virginia 14. Several dealers will be available to buy, sell and trade coins and precious metals. Admission is free. There is ample free parking and security on the premises. ¯ The 60th annual reunion of the Frank and Virginia Offenberger family wil be held at 12:30 p.m. July 23 at the Our Lady Social Hall in Lowell. Bring a covered dish. Games and activities are planned.
¯ The Film Club at the Marietta Branch Library is an entertaining and educational look at films of all genres at 4 p.m. July 24, it's a weird, wonderful exploration of David Lynch's sinister and strange "Twin Peaks." Discussion, analysis and film theory will be applied to help patrons and attendees to better understand and enjoy the films. This event is for ages 18 plus. ¯ Join the Marietta Library Branch at Campus Martius Museum on July 25 between noon and 3 p.m. to make a candlestick the old-fashioned way.
The event is free of charge, and participants must sign up ahead of time. ¯ Matamoras #374, Free and Accepted Masons are holding a community breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Aug. 5 at 301 Main St., New Matamoras. The breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, hash browns, biscuits, pancakes, cinnamon roll, orange juice and coffee. The public is invited to attend. Carry-out is available. The suggested donation is $7 per person. Profits from the breakfast support Grand Lodge of Ohio Charitable Foundation, the Ohio Masonic Home and local charities.
¯ Goats Grateful Gang will hold a benefit spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 5 at the St. Marys Marina. The menu will be spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, homemade hot rolls and dessert. ¯ The Marietta Branch Library's Puzzle Exchange is back for the year 2023. Patrons are asked to drop off puzzles at the library's main desk. Puzzle pieces must be separated into zippered bags of 100 pieces and there must not be any missing pieces. Puzzles with missing pieces will be donated to the free table. Each person will receive one voucher per each puzzle accepted. The exchange will take place in the meeting room and patrons can choose from the puzzle collection. ¯ The Alzheimer's Association offers professionally led groups for caregivers, individuals living with Alzheimer's and others dealing with the disease of dementia. All support groups are facilitated by trained individuals. Meetings in the area include: Marietta Support Group, 10-11:30 a.m. first Fridays at the O'Neill Center, 333 Fourth St., Marietta. ¯ The Ohio Department of Development and Washington-Morgan Community Action will launch the Home Energy Assistance Summer Crisis Program to help income-eligible Ohioans assistance with paying an electric bill or assistance paying for an air conditioning unit, fans or central air conditioning repairs. The program runs until Sept. 30.
¯ Zumba classes will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O'Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.
